Horses in Ohio Set for Slaughter
Do you know anyone in Ohio who can take a horse? If not, a lot of horses (those who can’t find homes) are going to be slaughtered. A vet passed away, and his sons are liquidating his assets, which means getting rid of the horses in the fastest way possible. (Don’t EVEN get me started).
Here is the blog where I got the information. Joan is a 100% reliable source and an animal lover. If you can’t help, PLEASE pass this on. Otherwise, these poor horses (papered and all healthy — some mares WITH foal) will be put to death Sat. Feb 5th.

Ali, I posted this on my Facebook, and friends with friends in the horse community immediately spread the word. One of the contacts who is very active in such matters was able to establish that these horses are going to be ok – racing community stepped in and will take care of them
